After the incident with a Zomato delivery person in Bangalore. Social media yet again came to rescue the Cab Driver from Lucknow. Who got assaulted by a woman for no apparent reason.

A video of a woman battering a man at a signal was posted on social media three days back. This happened in Uttar Pradesh’s Lucknow city. The same woman was also seen misbehaving with a person standing nearby. A case has been registered against the women. Sections are 394 (voluntarily causing hurt in committing robbery) and 427 (mischief causing damage to the amount of Rs 50) of the IPC (Indian Penal Code).

As per police, the lady was claiming that she was going across the street taxi driver who was driving “imprudently and carelessly” and halted the vehicle before her after which she experienced a minor injury. She also claimed that if she had not acted quickly, she might have been “seriously harmed”.

This assault first came to attention after #ArrestLucknowGirl was trending on Twitter since Monday morning. After the social media commotion, the Lucknow Police filed an FIR against the woman under sections 394, 427 of IPC for allegedly robbing the victim Saadat Ali Siddiqui of Rs 6,000 from the cab driver and also breaking his mobile phone.

Soon after posting the video of a woman assaulting the cab driver, CCTV footage also came to the surface. In that footage, it is visible that while the woman was crossing the road. The car had not collided with her although she came in front of the car. Still, she started to assault the cab driver without any justification.

Station house officer from Krishna Nagar police station Mr. Mahesh Kumar Dubey said they had booked the driver and three men on charges of breach of peace under section 151. They were the friend of the driver and were present in the car at the time of the incident. They were later presented before the magistrate which released them on surety.
However, the woman got released after giving a warning.
Now after looking at the social media commotion, police have filed a case against the woman.

Videos of the lady thrashing the man circulated on social media a few days later, with many demanding her arrest. The woman can be seen slapping and beating the man in a two-minute video released on social media, claiming that the vehicle hit her while she was walking. A traffic officer was seen standing nearby, attempting to help and ordering the woman to stop beating him.

Someone in the video, maybe the one who recorded it, is heard saying, “Arre badtameez aurat hai (This woman is rude).” The woman is also accused of breaking the cab driver’s mobile, which is heard stating, “Call the police, she smashed my phone.” At this moment, the woman is seen pulling the man by the collar, twisting him, and repeatedly slapping him across the face.
